GigOptix Announces $6M Credit Revision Agreement with Silicon Valley Bank

GigOptix, Inc., a supplier of semiconductor and optical components for high speed information streaming in the communications, industrial, defense and avionics sectors, has announced a $6M revision in its credit agreement with Silicon Valley Bank, a bank for businesses within the technology, life science, cleantech, venture capital, private equity and premium wine sectors. Under the terms of the newly revised agreement, GigOptix will now be able to take advantage of a double sized line of credit. The company will also benefit from reduction in interest rates, more flexible covenants and a more expanded borrowing base.

In a release, Megan Willard, Relationship Manager at Silicon Valley Bank, said, “We are constantly impressed by the innovations our clients, like GigOptix, are creating to enable development and economic growth in the tech sector. Working together with GigOptix, we were able to put together a financing solution that will support the company in its next phase of growth.”
